In a perfect world we would all feel heard and understood on a regular basis, but the reality is that our days are so full of distractions that it is hard to be present for others. We are constantly distracted by the dings of our phone, demands of work, the endless to-do lists, and the chatter that goes on in our heads seemingly non-stop.
