Today we gathered to listen to the wisdom of the Snow Moon lunar cycle that begins on Sunday, January 18th. It is wonderful to host these guided journaling practices to be in community with others who love Grandmother Moon as much as I do.

These final days leading up the New Moon are the perfect time for reflection. I am amazed how the same prompts resonate differently for each person as they think about their unique calling.

A Blessing inspired by the Snow Moon

To complete our time together I offered this blessing and am sharing it with you now as well. The post with all the journal prompts will be made available on Sunday to celebrate the arrival of the New Moon.

Snow Moon, keeper of the quiet threshold,
we call to you in this season of deep listening.
Just as you soften the hard edges of the earth,
may you soften the hard edges within us.

May the mountain goat walk beside us
sure‑footed, steady, unhurried
teaching us how to climb with presence,
how to trust the path beneath us
even when it narrows or grows steep.

May the lion lend us her warm, courageous heart
a reminder that even in the coldest months,
there is a fire within that does not go out.

May the stillness of winter settle around us
like a soft cloak,
inviting us to rest, to root, to remember
that nothing in nature blooms all year.

Let this stillness be a sanctuary,
a place where our inner knowing
can speak without rushing.

And as the first subtle emergence of spring
stirs beneath the frozen ground,
may we feel that same stirring in ourselves
the small, brave beginnings,
the tender return of hope,
the gentle readiness to rise again.

Snow Moon, guide us through this in‑between time.
Help us honor what is resting,
trust what is forming,
and welcome what is ready to awaken.

May it be so.
